Torrey Bourne

Torrey Bourn was born in Jacksonville, Illinois, and raised in rural Morgan County. He graduated from Routt High School in 1992, and then attended Illinois College for two years. After transferring to South Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois, he graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Psychology. Shortly after graduating college, he began his career working with high risk/high need juveniles in the Alternative to Detention Program at the Morgan County Probation Department, Jacksonville, Illinois. In 2002, Torrey obtained a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Illinois, Springfield, Illinois. He has been employed with Morgan County Probation Department for twenty-three years with his current position being a Senior Probation Officer.

Torrey is an avid golfer and is the golf coach at Jacksonville Middle School. In addition, he has volunteered as a coach in baseball and basketball in local programs. Torrey is looking forward to working with the committee to develop resources and pro-social activities for our community.
